The Journey

Henderson Campus
The Journey is coming at the end of this month! It’s a two-part event starting with a concert of Christmas music performed by musicians from all our campuses followed by an interactive journey to Bethlehem. It takes over 1,000 volunteers to make The Journey happen. There are so many ways to get involved. Everyone can find a job they’ll enjoy. Global Encounter

Choose Compassion and participate in one of our 2017 Global Outreach teams to serve with our missionary partners here in the U.S. and around the world. Come to this event to find out the details of the 2017 short-term trips, ask questions, meet the trip leaders and sign up to go.
Congregational Business Meeting
5:45 - 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23
Adult Ministry Center, Henderson Campus
At this annual meeting we will give an overview of the 2017 budget and the church officers who are up for affirmation or re-affirmation. It will be streamed live to East, Effingham and Statesboro campuses. We’ll reaffirm Pete Ghaleb and Mickey Boutwell as elders and Ron Ritter as a deacon. We’ll affirm Steve Heard, Jim Williams, David Cannady, Chad Schnabel, Chuck Gaskin, Leon Braun, Ryan Willoughby and Glen Jackson as deacons. Journey Serve Day
8 a.m. – 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19
Bethlehem set behind The Link, Henderson Campus
This December we’re holding The Journey, a fun, interactive Christmas event that has drawn tens of thousands from across the Southeast in past years. We are working on the set to prepare it for this year’s production. If you’re good at carpentry or building things, please come and join us for these serve days. Bring tools if you have them. We’ll provide lunch. Any children must be under parental supervision at all times.
Welcome to Compassion Class
12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13
Hospitality Room, Henderson Campus
Come to this class if you’d like to know more about our church. Cam will talk about our mission, vision, values and statement of faith. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet members of our children’s and student ministry teams. Children are welcome to attend, but there will be no separate childcare. Lunch will be provided.
