Journey Jobs
The Journey is our largest outreach event of the year - and it's a special opportunity to make an impact in the lives of people in our community as they come onto our Henderson Campus to experience life the night Christmas began.
It takes over 1,000 volunteers per night to make The Journey happen. Sign up for your Journey Job using the form below.
Journey Job Descriptions
Set Team - Construct, paint and decorate sets prior to The Journey
Costume Team - Help with costume distribution and collection each night
Welcome Team - Greet and direct guests
Parking Team - Direct traffic and show guests where to park
Registration Team - Register guests and collect tickets
Special Needs Team - Register and assist special needs guests on and off golf carts
Scripted Actors - Mary, Joseph, angels, shepherds, wise men
Roman Tent Hosts - Hand out coins and name cards
Animal Handlers - Care for and feed animals. Clean animal shelters and put out hay. Family friendly!
Food Preparation Team - Prepare and serve food to guests in Bethlehem, as well as hot chocolate at the end of the Journey
Marketplace Actors - Assume roles of various Bethlehem marketplace vendors. (Children birth through grade 8 must be accompanied by an adult in the same shop.) All actors should attend one of the Marketplace Orientations.
Roman Guards - Assume role of a Roman Guard while guiding guests through The Journey experience
Waterfront Workers - Assist guests boarding boats to ensure waterfront safety
Super Servants - Clean and stock the set each night, refill torches and candles
Departure Team - Direct and assist guests after The Journey
Breakdown Crew - Take down sets, store props and supplies after The Journey
Shuttle Drivers - Transport volunteers in shuttles during The Journey.
