“And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14

As you may know, Esther is the only book in the Old Testament that never mentions God, but in reality He’s the main character in the story.

How is it that, of all the women in the empire, a young Jewish woman becomes queen? How is it that, of all the people in the empire, Mordecai should be the one who saves the king from an assassination plot? How is it that Haman, the scheming murderer, becomes the victim of his own schemes, and Mordecai, his intended victim, becomes instead his replacement?

The writer wants us to know that God is present.  He is always at work in and around you in unseen, unknown, unnamed, and unlikely ways.  God wants to use you in spite of what you do … for His glory and the coming of His kingdom on earth.

Who knows but that you have come to your position for such a time as this?
