Naomi’s Story
I was raised in a Christian home and attended church with my family. I did daily devotions and prayers with my family and on my own. Through Scripture, I began to understand God's love for me and made a decision to surrender my life to Him when I was about 8 years old.
My husband and I were dating at the time he joined Compassion Christian Church. He invited me a few times and I also invited him to visit my church. When we got married, we decided we wanted to attend the same church. We prayed about which church helped us grow spiritually and provided more opportunities to serve God, and decided on Compassion Christian.
Shortly after that I decided to re-dedicate my life to the Lord and get baptized. I felt a strong conviction that I needed to change my life and this was an opportunity for me to re-connect with God, surrendering my life to Him and trusting Him fully.
I now understand that to live the fulfilling life God intended for me, I don't have to work harder but surrender more to God and His will every day. God leads and guides me to do the right thing and to speak and show His love on mission trips and to family, friends and strangers alike.
