Sebastian’s Story
I came to know Christ at a very early age. I was in the garden of a chapel in Palm Beach with my godmother when I was 5 years old. "I am the resurrection and the life" from John 11:25 was written on a wall. I asked my godmother to explain resurrection to me. It was during that conversation that I prayed to receive Jesus Christ as my personal Savior.
I never knew my father. My mother was addicted to drugs. She had 5 children. My older brother died of a drug overdose. Another brother and my sister were adopted by some other family members. I have never known them. My mom raised me until I was 7 and then started using drugs again.
I spend a lot of time in Savannah with my godmother. I have been to Blitz, the boy's Bible study at IHOP and Collide camp. I loved camp! The praise and worship and the team time memorizing scripture were especially meaningful to me.
One of my life verses is Psalm 27:10, “When my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will take care of me”. God has sent people into my life to take care of me and has provided me with health and clothes as well as a place to live. I know that the Lord has a great plan for my future and I know that I can trust Him.
