Stephanie’s Story
Before I came to know Jesus Christ, I was living as the world told me to. I lived for myself, pursuing my own goals and my own dreams. I thought I was a good Christian by just going to church and giving money when I felt compelled to. I was angry and selfish when things didn’t go my way.
When we moved to Savannah, we looked around for a church to attend. Our real estate agent recommended Compassion Christian Church, so we came to a service to see what it was like.
After coming to Compassion Christian for just a few weeks, I knew that Jesus was calling to me and my heart was being pulled towards him. The day came when I could no longer ignore it. During the invitation at the end of the message, I stepped forwards and gave my life to Christ. The joy and peace that came into my heart was beyond words! My life was changed for the better.
Three years have passed since that decision and my life has changed drastically. My life is so different now that I am living for Him and His glory. It’s no longer about me or pursuing my desires. I have Christian friends, attend a Small Group, have joined the adoption ministry and my marriage has grown stronger in the Lord. I no longer swear, I tithe generously, and I pray and read the Bible every day. Thank God for his work through Compassion Christian!
