Guatemala Outreach
When East Campus children’s pastor Michele Leekley visited Guatemala on a Compassion Christian short-term mission trip, she saw families and children in desperate need. Her heart was moved. She also saw that a relatively modest amount of money – just $50 – could feed an entire family for a month there.
When she returned, Michele began to share stories about these families with the children of East Campus. She told them that their offering would go toward buying food baskets for these families. The children were excited to see how their offerings were making a real difference in the world.
The kids also began sending cards and other expressions of love. In return our mission partners in Guatemala send back stories and photos of the families the Compassion Christian children have helped.
