Henderson MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

Meets second and fourth Tuesdays, 9:30 a.m.-noon, September - May in the Atrium at Henderson Campus.

Childcare drop off begins at 9:15 a.m.

Are you a mother of a preschooler (newborns - 5-year-olds) or expecting a baby and looking for a chance to connect with other moms? You’ve come to the right place. MOPS is a special place you can meet other women who are also experiencing this unique stage of life. You’ll not only make new friends but discover an abundance of helpful hints and smarter strategies to deal with the wide-ranging challenges of motherhood. Our MOPS program is all about:

  • Celebrating motherhood
  • Meeting the needs of moms with preschoolers
  • Making connections with other women and moms
  • Experiencing God’s love through relationships and resources

WHAT WILL I DO AT MOPS?
  • Fellowship with other mothers
  • Enjoy breakfast and coffee
  • Hear from relevant and insightful speakers
  • Participate in seasonal activities

MOPS is not a Bible study, but we approach all our practical mothering topics and relationships on a biblical foundation.

DO I BRING MY CHILDREN?

Yes, the children of MOPS are called MOPPETS and have a program of their own. Children under 2 have access to a fully-staffed nursery while older children enjoy an interactive Bible story followed by a craft, snack and play time. Our MOPPETS volunteers are some of the most caring and dedicated individuals you’ll meet. Each childcare provider has been screened with a national background check. For more information on childcare during MOPS or to become a paid childcare worker, please contact Denise Perry at 912-629-7459 or email dperry@compassionchristian.com.

If, however, your children are currently enrolled in a local nursery school, we would still love to have you join us while they spend time at their preschool. Compassion Christian’s groups meet twice a month from September through May from 9:30 a.m. -12 noon.

DOES IT COST ANYTHING?

Yes, there is a yearly MOPS to Mom Connection membership of $53.95 which is due along with your MOPS registration form. With this membership you’ll receive: a magazine subscription to MOMSense Magazine (a bi-monthly issue packed with practical parenting tips and inspirational ideas), weekly Mom E-Mails (weekly bursts of encouragement) and other great resources. We also have weekly meeting fees. However, we never want money to prevent you from joining MOPS, so please ask if you need assistance. Full or partial scholarships are available.
