Baby Dedication
As parents we receive children as a gift from God, one for which we will be held accountable. What an awesome responsibility and what a great opportunity.
The Baby Dedication ceremony is a time for parents to introduce and publicly dedicate their children to God. Parents commit, with much forethought and prayer, to raise their children in ways that honor God, and the church agrees to support each child and family in this endeavor.
To participate in a Baby Dedication
- you must be a member of Compassion Christian Church
- baptized by immersion
- a growing believer, and
- you must attend one of our classes.
At the class we teach about God’s expectations for family life and child-rearing and provide details about the ceremony. Registration is not necessary.
On the day of the class, please take your child to the nursery before coming to class so you can focus and others will not be distracted. At the end of the class you will be asked to get your child so we can take a family photo.
