Offering

Every week your child has the opportunity to worship by giving offering at Elevate.  The kids not only have the chance to give but are taught that this is being obedient to God as well as thanking Him for all He has done for us.

 Currently, all of the offering from Elevate is going to Mid-India Christian Mission.  This organization is actively planting churches and raising up leaders in India, a place where persecution is extremely high.  Because of the persecution many kids are left without parents because they are imprisoned or tragically killed. 

Vivert and Neelam, the national missionaries in India, found themselves suddenly with many children approaching them for assistance since they had nowhere to go.  Many of those kids were children of pastors and church leaders already supported by the ministry.  Vivert and Neelam immediately saw this as an opportunity and opened a Children’s Home.  Since then they have welcomed over 50 children into their home to raise and care for.

Some of these children are orphans due to the bold faith of their parents.  Others have been sent to the home for protection as their parents boldly share their faith regardless of the potential consequences.  These children often come to the Children’s Home sick, with little clothing and having been exposed to tragedy, devastation and loss that no child should ever have to witness.  Vivert and Neelam have chosen to love these children and raise them as their own. 

The offering your child brings to Elevate will go to provide clothes for the kids as well as basic medical supplies.  In the Drop Zone Lobby you will see a set of bunk beds.  This is a representation of where a child would stay at the Children’s Home.  There will also be a small bucket that represent the place these kids keep all their worldly possessions.  When asked what their favorite food to eat was the kids were at a loss.  They didn’t eat food because it was a favorite but to survive.  They were not able to comprehend ‘favorite’.

We have a great opportunity for your child to be connected to the kids at the Children’s Home.  Not only can they bring their tithes and offering but they can also become pen pals with a child in the home.  By the bunk beds there will be a stack of cards that tell about a child in the home.  Your child can pick one up and then send an e-mail to a child in India.  The e-mail will be translated to Hindi, the national language, and then your child will receive a response.  This is a great opportunity to not just support these kids financially but to also bridge a gap across the world.  Kids have an amazing way of connecting with kids and it is our prayer that they everyone will be impacted for eternity through simple e-mails.  You can pick up a flier with more information, a child’s bio, as well as the e-mail address in the Drop Zone in the next week.
