Choose compassion and put smiles on the faces of a family in need this holiday season. We are looking for Compassion Christian families willing to partner with our Lighthouse ministry and “adopt” a local family in need this Christmas. We’ll pair you with a family and provide information about the children so you can buy appropriate Christmas gifts. You’ll then have the opportunity to meet them before Christmas...

“At work we have a basket of hand sanitizers and chapsticks that sit at my desk and we give away to patients every day. I asked my boss if she were willing to...

This story comes from Jayden's mother, Alisha Haywood, one of our church's members.

"My boys have been earning things for good behavior. Last week my youngest son, Jayden (7), asked me if he could earn a new pair of roller blades for our neighbor, a little girl. The kids in our East Campus Elevate ministry recently chose compassion when they donated their gently used books and also made bookmarks to give to the children at Havin Elementary. Susan Allen, who serves in Elevate and is a teacher at Havin, went through more than 200 books that were donated. She then let each of her 1st grade students choose three books to take home.

How did this act of compassion make a difference?...

She did so as part of a Choose Compassion challenge the church staff took on. Compassion Christian is asking members to “Choose...
