Join us for a family celebration service, 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, as we break ground for our new building at the Cawana Road property in Statesboro. This will be the only service at our Statesboro Campus on Sunday, Jan. 25, so if you normally attend at 9:15 a.m. or 5 p.m., please make a note of this change. This service will be held outside, so please dress with the weather in mind.

Our Country Carnival in October is a great opportunity to invite people in our community to a family-friendly, fall event. We will have lots of games, inflatables, food and fun!

We are collecting candy to use as prizes. Please bring candy donations to the containers in the lobby – but avoid chocolate and nuts.

We are running out of room in our Sunday morning services. Therefore, starting Sunday, April 6, we will be holding a third service on Sundays at 5 p.m. to make room for more people as our church continues to grow.

It was the fall semester of my sophomore year of college and I was making the eight-hour trek back to school in Knoxville from Savannah. I remember these drives being extremely lonely, and this time in particular it was so tough to leave Savannah and  my girlfriend (now wife) and continue our long- distance relationship.

Reading Scripture has brought depth and insight into my life year after year. However, I often feel as though I am caught in a paradox of sorts. On one hand, I try to stick to a daily schedule of reading Scripture and reflecting on it. Yet, on the other hand, I can begin to feel like I am stuck in a mundane routine. This poses a problem for me.

Last month we had such an amazing night of worship. On October 21st, the Compassion campus came together to focus on worshipping and praying for the ‘Boro.’ It has been a long time coming and finally we get to meet in a space that has four walls!

Our weekly services will begin in just a few weeks (Dec. 2nd!), and already we have seen and heard some great stories....

As we are growing closer to launching this campus there will be a lot of planning going on within our ministry team.  We have had meeting after meeting about how to execute this launch in the most effective, methodical and kingdom-focused way and we really feel like we are gaining a clear vision and direction for the next six months.  While the end result is important, I think it is sometimes...

The longer I walk with Jesus, the more I enjoy and truly embrace the counter-intuitive nature of the gospel.
